Spesies Baru dan Spesies Rekam Baru Serangga Kutu Putih (Hemiptera: Pseudococcidae) di Indonesia
Synopsis
Kutu putih atau mealybug (Hemiptera: Coccomorpha: Pseudococcidae) adalah salah satu
kelompok serangga pencucuk penghisap (sucking insects) dari kelompok kutu sisik (scale insects)
yang keberadaanya sangat penting di ekosistem pertanian dengan peran dominannya sebagai hama
tanaman di seluruh dunia. Di Indonesia, dalam rentang tahun 2020 hingga 2024 telah ditemukan
4 spesies baru kutu putih dunia serta 9 spesies rekam baru untuk Indonesia. Empat spesies baru
dunia tersebut yaitu Chrorizococcus ozeri Zarkani & Kaydan, Dysmicoccus zeynepae Zarkani &
Kaydan, Planococcus bengkuluensis Zarkani & Kaydan, dan Pseudococcus iffahae Zarkani &
Kaydan. Adapun 9 spesies rekam baru Indonesia yaitu Ferrisia dasylirii (Cockerell), Planococcus
bendovi Williams, Rastrococcus tropicasiaticus Williams, Coccidohyistrix insolita (Green),
Dysmicoccus arachidis Williams, Dysmicoccus carens Williams, Paracoccus tripurae Williams,
Planococcus bagmaticus Williams dan Pseudococcus leptotrichotus Williams. Data lengkap
morfologi semua spesies baru dan rekam baru tersebut dimuat dalam buku ini
